Stoner vows to keep attacking

Casey Stoner has vowed to keep attacking at Motegi, despite extending his advantage over Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo following his eighth win of the season at Aragon. Stoner's current 44-point advantage means he could win the title by finishing third in the remaining four races, even if Lorenzo won every time. Stoner said however that he would continue to attack and would be looking for the win rather than championship points - particularly given his excellent form at Motegi last year, when he won for Ducati.

FOTA chairman Martin Whitmarsh is confident that teams can make Formula 1's Resource Restriction Agreement (RRA) a success, despite fresh controversy over the deal. Stewart wins again at Loudon

Tony Stewart scored his second Chase victory in less than a week at Loudon, beating Clint Bowyer on fuel mileage to jump into the lead of the NASCAR Sprint Cup title play-off. The two-time champion saw the coin flip after running out of fuel on the last lap while leading the same race last year, handing victory to his Richard Childress Racing rival. This time Bowyer was up front following the final round of pitstops, but he failed to make it to the end, running out of gas while leading with two laps remaining
